Brad Schoenfeld  M.Sc., C.S.C.S

Brad is widely regarded as a “trainer of trainers.” He is a lecturer in the exercise science department at Lehman College in the Bronx, NY, and an adjunct professor in nutritional science at Mercy College in Dobbs Ferry, NY. He was previously a faculty and board member at the American Academy of Personal Training in New York City, a vocational school for aspiring fitness trainers.

Brad earned his masters degree in kinesiology/exercise science from the University of Texas. He is currently pursuing his Ph.D. in exercise science at Rocky Mountain University where his research focuses on elucidating the mechanisms of muscle hypertrophy and their application to resistance training. He is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist by the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA), and serves as an associate editor for their peer-reviewed Strength and Conditioning Journal. He has achieved multiple certifications as a personal trainer, including the NSCA, the American Council on Exercise (ACE), the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America (AFAA), and CanFitPro. He was named the 2011 NSCA Personal Trainer of the Year. In addition, he is a member of the American College of Sports Medicine as well as IDEA Health and Fitness Association, which has bestowed upon him the title of Master Trainer – the highest ranking possible.
